Ride to Fight Suicide
St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (10805 Indiana Ave) in Lubbock, will host the Ride to Fight Suicide by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention on May 31. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. with kickstands up at 9 a.m. The ride goes to Post, Ralls, and back to the church with beautiful curvy scenery, approximately 100 miles. Registration is $35 for every rider/driver and $25 for a passenger. Registration will increase to $40/30 on the day of the event. Breakfast will be provided.
Catholic Charities Gardening Classes
Join Catholic Charities, Diocese of Lubbock for FREE beginner gardening classes for adults age 60 and older. Classes begin, Tuesday, June 3, at 10 a.m.— brand new gardeners or just want to get your hands back in the soil, this is a fun, relaxing way to connect, learn, and grow—together! Space is limited. This project is a collaboration between the St. Francis Mission Sisters’ Associates and Seekers and the Elderly Outreach program of Catholic Charities of Lubbock.

Participants will join the Saint Francis Mission Community to reflect on and share insights offered by Rev.
