Catholic War Veterans Annual Memorial Day Mass
Join the Catholic War Veterans for the celebration of the Annual Memorial Day Mass May 26, at Christ the King Cathedral at 11 a.m.
Ride to Fight Suicide
St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (10805 Indiana Ave) in Lubbock, will host the Ride to Fight Suicide by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention on May 31. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. with kickstands up at 9 a.m. The ride goes to Post, Ralls, and back to the church with beautiful curvy scenery, approximately 100 miles. Registration is $35 for every rider/driver and $25 for a passenger. Registration will increase to $40/30 on the day of the event. Breakfast will be provided. Second Collection - Catholic Communications Campaign
May 31 and June 1, the special collection supports the Catholic Communication Campaign.
This campaign connects Catholics with Christ in the United States using the internet, television, radio, and print media. Half of the money we collect remains here in the Diocese of Lubbock to fund local communications efforts. The other half supports the communication activities of the US Conference of Catholic Bishops and some projects across the United States and abroad.
